# Invitations

## Bring someone into a project

An invitation asks someone to join a project as an editor or viewer. They become a member after accepting it.

Invite a designer as an editor when they need to add work. Invite a client as a viewer when they only need to check progress.

## Send an invitation

1. As the project owner, open **Settings**, then **Members**. Only the owner sees Members and can invite. Editors cannot invite.
2. Enter the person's email address in the **teammate@company.com** field.
3. Choose **Editor** or **Viewer**, then click **Invite**.
4. If the project is private, Sprintree asks before making it shared. Choose **Invite and share** to continue.

The invitation appears below the members while it is waiting for an answer. Click **Revoke** on that row if you sent it to the wrong person or no longer need it.

## Accept an invitation

1. Sign in with the email address that received the invitation.
2. Find **Invitations** on Home or in **Inbox**. The invitation email leads you into this flow.
3. Check the project and role, then click **Accept**. Choose **Decline** if you do not want to join.

## Tips and common mistakes

- Opening an email does not accept an invitation. The recipient must choose **Accept**.
- Pending invitations take a seat in the project owner's plan. Revoke invitations you no longer need.
- If acceptance is blocked by a plan limit, the owner needs to resolve the limit before the recipient can join.
- Check the exact email address if someone cannot find their invitation.
