What's new in Sprintree

New features and improvements, newest first.

October 2026

  • Improved

Tell live connections with the same name apart

When two terminals share a name, such as two on main, Settings adds the first 4 characters of each session id to its row. They are the same as session= in the terminal's connected line.

  • Improved

Turn /claude commands on per session, without a restart

With plugin 0.7.0, type /sprintree:commands on in the terminal to let this session take /claude commands, or /sprintree:commands default on for every session without its own setting. Settings shows /claude on or off per connection.

  • Improved

/claude commands are off by default in Claude Code

Plugin 0.6.0 no longer passes /claude comments to your session until you turn commands on in your own Claude Code settings. The Live events docs show how. Every other line (mentions, replies, reviews, status changes) arrives either way.

    Live events in Claude Code

Mentions, assignments, replies, review requests and status changes now reach an open Claude Code session as they happen. Run /sprintree:connect to start. Settings lists your live connections.

  • Improved

Connecting a GitHub repository links its existing commits

When you connect a repository, the commits already on its default branch (the last 90 days, up to 500) are linked to the issues they name, not only the ones pushed after you connected.

  • Improved

Agent runs: open ones up front, closed ones tucked away

In Settings, runs that are still going stay open, and finished ones fold into one "closed runs" line with a row each. Closed runs are now deleted a day after they end instead of after a month.

  • New

A faster start for new accounts

New accounts start from a template or the demo, and Home has a short getting-started card. Empty lists say what to do next: add example issues or let your AI agent do it. Filtered views that show nothing get Clear filters.

  • New

One command connects Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI

The Sprintree agent plugin sets up the connection in one command and adds a skill that keeps your board in sync with what the agent does. Sign in once and you are done. The setup steps for each tool are on the MCP docs page.

  • New

    Agent runs

Coding agents that split work across helpers keep a private record of where each one stands, so the main agent picks up after clearing its context. Works with the sprintree-agent plugin for Claude Code.

  • Improved

    One Filters menu

Nine filter buttons are now one Filters button that shows how many are on. Its menu lists applied filters on top, each removable, with Clear all, then every filter with its value. The text box is now Search (same / key) and is not counted.

  • New

    Collapse board columns

Fold a board column into a narrow strip that keeps its count and loads nothing until you open it. Drop a card on a strip to move it. Saved per project. It replaces the Show Done switch: a hidden Done column is back, one click collapses it.

  • Improved

    Tables that behave

On a phone a wide table scrolls sideways inside its own block. Tables hold up to 100 rows and 50 columns, a document up to 20,000 cells, and a bigger pasted table is cut to fit with a notice. Code blocks have a Copy button.

  • New

    A smoother start

A new account starts in its own first project, from a template or with example issues you can remove in one click, and a Getting started card on Home ticks off the first steps. Signing in always opens the account you signed in with.

  • Improved

Every MCP tool has its own docs page

The MCP docs list the tools in one short page, and each tool opens its own page with its parameters, answer and changes. The docs load faster, and you can link straight to one tool.

  • New

    Mermaid diagrams

A mermaid code block in a description, comment or page shows as a diagram. Edit source opens the code, Expand shows it full screen. The source stays in the text, so agents read and write it over MCP.

  • Improved

    Issue chips and unsaved edits

Issue keys in descriptions and pages now show their status, a card with the title on hover, and an Open button when the cursor is on them. Leaving a description or page with unsaved edits asks whether to save, discard or stay.

  • New

    Pages

Give every project a place for its documents: pages in a tree you reorder by dragging, in the same editor as issue descriptions, with versions and live status chips for issue keys. Link them with /page, comment, and use them over MCP.

  • New

    Agent flows with sysdraw

An agent connected to both Sprintree and sysdraw can draw an epic into its description or turn a diagram into linked tasks. The MCP docs show how.

  • Improved

Pinned projects stay in their group

A pinned project that is in a group now shows under Pinned and inside its group, so the group no longer looks empty. Unpinning keeps it in the group.

  • Improved

    Join public projects

Open a public project's link and join it in one click. Public projects you haven't joined stay out of your sidebar and plan limits. You can make a public project shared or private again; people who joined by link are then removed.

  • New

    sysdraw diagrams in issues

Paste a sysdraw view link into a description or comment to show the diagram right there.

  • New

    Project groups

Group your projects in the sidebar. Only you see your groups.

  • New

    Support page

A support page with answers to common questions and a way to reach us, and the same header and footer on every public page.

  • New

    Slack notifications

Connect a Slack workspace, pick a channel for each project and choose which events to post: created, done, blocked or mentioned. Posts are batched so the channel stays quiet.

  • New

    Weekly commitments

Plan your week without touching the issue itself. A new This week list on My issues, a team week page, and unfinished work carries over.

  • New

    Cycle report

See what a cycle committed to, what was added, and what ended up done, unfinished or removed, with optional flow times.

  • New

    Cycles

Time-box a project with cycles you start and complete yourself. Pick a cycle on an issue, filter by it, and watch it on the board strip.

  • New

    Review requests

Ask teammates to review an issue and record a verdict. A Waiting on your review list shows what needs you.

  • New

    Since your last visit

The sidebar shows what changed in each project since you last looked, with a summary strip you can open.

  • New

    Sidebar badge choice

Choose per project whether the sidebar shows counts, a simple dot or nothing at all.

  • New

    Description templates

Start a new issue from a built-in bug, feature or research template.

  • Improved

    Keyboard shortcuts everywhere

The G-then-letter jump shortcuts now work on every page, and the board has a Show more button for long columns.

  • Improved

Easier to use with a keyboard

Menus, dialogs and forms got a keyboard-only pass so every action can be reached without a mouse.

  • New

Merge description edits block by block

When two people edit the same description at once, their changes are merged block by block instead of one overwriting the other.

  • New

    Saved views

Save a filter as a personal view or share it with the whole project, and jump back to it in one click.

    Learn more
  • New

    Blocked filter

Filter any list to the issues that are blocked, so you can see what is stuck.

  • New

Close the parent when children are done

When the last child of an epic or story is done, Sprintree suggests closing the parent.

  • Improved

Board and project header on phones

The board and the project header now fit a phone screen.

  • Improved

Clear one filter at a time

Remove a single filter chip instead of resetting all of them.

  • New

Acceptance criteria and a done gate

Add acceptance criteria and a definition of done to an issue. An issue cannot be marked done until its criteria are checked.

    Learn more
  • New

    Criteria when creating a project

Choose your acceptance criteria and definition of done templates while setting up a new project.

  • New

    GitHub commits on issues

Connect a GitHub repository and see the related commits on the issue, in a Code section.

  • New

  • Improved

    Blocked is easy to spot

Blocked issues now show a red Blocked badge on the issue page.

  • Improved

Copy buttons by the issue key

Copy an issue key or link with one click from the issue page.

  • New

    Issue links

Link issues as blocking or related, and see the links on both sides.

  • New

Choose 12 or 24 hour time, your date format and the first day of the week.

Search within one project and filter by reporter or by issues you follow.

  • New

    Custom statuses

Create your own statuses for each project instead of using a fixed set.
