Change the acceptance criteria (ac) and definition of done (dod) checklists of an issue (needs edit access; a list the project switched off refuses writes). One call can add items, edit their text, remove them, reorder one list and apply the templates, in this order: add, edit, remove, order, apply_templates: a failure stops there and says what was done. add: [{kind, text, id?}] appends at the end of the list (an id of your own makes a retry harmless); edit: [{id, text, expect_text?}] (agents MUST send expect_text, the text as you last read it: if it changed, nothing is written for that item and the answer shows the current text); remove: [ids] (soft; apply_templates skips removed template items unless include_removed); order: {kind, ids} must name exactly the live items of that list, else the answer gives the current order; apply_templates: "all" (project and epic templates) or "epic" (the epic's only) copies the template items the issue has no copy of. At most 50 items per list and 50 operations (add + edit + remove + order + apply_templates) per call. The answer is the current checklists with the id of every item (what check_criteria takes). Ticking items is check_criteria. Items are plain text: @mentions notify nobody.

- 2026-10-03 — New write tool: add, edit (agents send expect_text), remove, reorder and apply templates (all or epic; include_removed) on an issue's AC / DoD lists in one call; answers the current lists.
- 2026-10-04 — Claude Code 2.1.288+ (clientInfo claude-code): the text of a successful answer is itself up to 512 bytes, else "Result in structuredContent (N bytes)."; structuredContent and errors are unchanged. See /docs/mcp.
