Bulk changes apply an action to several selected cards. The selection toolbar shows which actions are available.
Update a group of cards together#
When a teammate takes over a set of website tasks, select those tasks in the list and assign them together. You can use the same selection to set priority or plan the week.
Select and update cards#
- Open the project's List view. Filter the list first if that helps you find the right cards.
- Tick the checkbox beside each card you want to change. The toolbar shows the number selected.
- Choose Status, Assignee, Priority, Labels, or Due in the selection toolbar, then pick the new value.
- Use Cycle to move the selection into a project cycle, when cycles are available. Epics cannot belong to a cycle.
- To plan your own work, choose Commit to my week, then This week or Next week. This action applies to stories and tasks, not epics.
- Click the × icon next to the selected count (Clear selection) when you are finished. Pressing
Escalso clears the selection.
Tips and common mistakes#
- Check the selected count before applying a change. Filters help you select the intended set.
- The Labels picker adds or removes labels across the selection. It does not mean that every selected card started with the same labels.
- The toolbar's More bulk actions menu can copy keys or links. Deleting issues is also there when you have editing access.
- A weekly commitment records your plan. It does not change the cards' statuses or assignees.
- Viewers have fewer actions because they cannot edit project cards.
