Memory Drawer

Keep rules and decisions in Pages, explore their connections, and give AI agents lasting project context.

Keep the reasons behind the work#

The Memory Drawer lives in Pages. It brings together rules, decisions and a graph of connected pages and cards.

You rarely need to fill it by hand. When you decide something or give a standing instruction, your AI agent saves it here as a decision or a rule and sends you the link. You can also mark pages yourself, as described below.

Use a rule for guidance you want followed repeatedly, such as accessibility requirements. Use a decision to record a choice and why your team made it, such as which time zone a report uses.

Mark a rule or decision yourself#

  1. Open a page that has no subpages.
  2. Click its page kind button, initially Doc.
  3. Choose Rule or Decision.
  4. For a rule that matters on every task, turn on Apply to every task. Agents receive that rule even when the task does not link to it.

  1. In the page list, choose Rules or Decisions to find those pages together.
  2. Choose Graph to explore connections between project pages and cards. Signed-out guests do not see the Graph tab.

Tips and common mistakes#

  • Keep each rule focused. A short instruction is easier to follow than a long list of unrelated advice.
  • Record the reason for a decision so the next person understands it.
  • A rule or decision cannot contain subpages. Use a normal Doc to organize a group of pages.
  • Rules and decisions have restricted access, including in public projects. Invited members can read them. A visitor who joins a public project does not automatically gain access to them.
  • AI agents use this context through MCP, the connection between an assistant and Sprintree. See Rules and decisions for agents for how they read and save it, and Connect an AI agent for setup.
