Work with cards

List and filters

Find the cards you need with filters, then sort and group them in the list.

Last updated

The list shows cards as rows. Filters narrow the cards shown, while sorting and grouping change how you read them.

Review a focused backlog#

If you are planning a website release, filter to high-priority tasks and group by assignee. You can spot unassigned work without opening every card.

Narrow the list#

  1. Open a project, open its view menu, and choose List.
  2. Open Filters and choose a field such as Assignee, Priority, Label, Type, or Status. Pick the values you want.

  1. Check the applied filter chips. Remove a chip to remove that filter, or use Clear all to clear the applied filters.
  2. Type in Search issues, or press / to focus it. This narrows the current view. Use Search when you need the project's search results, including comments.

Sort and group your rows#

  1. Use Order to choose Priority, Last updated, Created, Key, Title, or Due date.
  2. Use Group to choose Status, Priority, Assignee, Type, Parent, or No grouping.
  3. Open Display options when you need additional display choices, including whether to show sub-tasks.

Tips and common mistakes#

  • Check whether sub-tasks are shown before assuming a nested task is missing.
  • Select an epic before using the Story filter. That filter lists stories under the epics you selected.
  • Filters appear in the address. Copy the URL to share the current selection with someone who has project access.
  • Save a setup you use often as a Saved view.
