Work with cards

Saved views

Save filters and display choices for yourself or share a view with your project.

A saved view remembers a useful way to look at project cards. It keeps the view type, filters, and supported ordering or grouping choices.

Reuse your daily setup#

Save “High-priority tasks” for a daily check-in, or keep a personal view of your own open work. Opening it restores the saved setup.

Save a view#

  1. Open a project view and set the filters, ordering, and grouping you need.
  2. Open Views in the project header and choose Save current view….
  3. Enter a Name. Choose Only me for a personal view, or Everyone in the project for a shared view. Editors and owners can create shared views.

  1. Choose Save view.
  2. Open the same menu to return to a saved view. Its name replaces the Views label while it is open.

Change an existing view#

  1. Open the saved view, then adjust its filters or display choices. A modified mark shows that the screen differs from the saved setup.
  2. Open the view's menu and choose Save changes if you want to update it. Save changes appears only when the view has been modified and you are allowed to manage it. On someone else's shared view you only get Save as new…. Choose Save as new… to keep the old setup and save another one.
  3. Use Copy link to share a link. The recipient still needs permission to access the project and view.

Tips and common mistakes#

  • Deleting a saved view never deletes cards.
  • On a narrow screen, open the project header's More menu, then Views.
  • If a saved filter refers only to deleted values, Sprintree asks before opening the view without that filter. Read that warning before accepting a broader result.
  • A shared view is visible to everyone who can see the project. On a public project that is wider than the members. A personal view is for you.
