Plan
Weekly commitments
Plan your week, see the team weekly plan, and carry unfinished work into a new week.

A weekly commitment records that a person plans to work on a story or task during a week. It does not change the card's assignee or status.
Make a realistic weekly plan#
A freelancer might commit to three client tasks for this week. A team can check its weekly plan to see what each person has picked up and where help is needed.
Commit to your own week#
- Open a story or task.
- Choose Commit to this week. The button changes to Committed this week. Choose it again to take the card off your week.
- Use Commit to another week beside it to plan for next week.
- Open My issues in the sidebar, then This week. Your committed cards appear here, including cards assigned to someone else.
- Use the week controls to look at another week. If unfinished work remains from last week, use Carry over to add it to the current week.
Review the team plan#
- Open the project's weekly plan using Weekly plan in its header or More menu.
- Review each member's planned cards and open or done counts.
- With editing access, use the add control on a member's section to plan work for them. Remove a card from their week when the plan changes.
Tips and common mistakes#
- Epics cannot be committed to a week. Commit to stories or tasks you can work on.
- A commitment is a plan, not a new copy of the card.
- Removing a card from a week does not delete it or mark it done.
- Select several list rows and choose Commit to my week to plan multiple cards together.
- A cycle is a project period. Weekly commitments are each person's plan. You can use both for the same card.
